No peace to those who
left God
no place to run and hide
when Jesus follows after you
there’s turmoil deep inside

there are many who’ve gone astray
who have left their first love
forsaking the ways of God’s truth
and favor from above
____
by living a life all their own
lured away by their lust
losing faith in Almighty God
in Whom they once had trust
____
replaced with pleasures of this world
they find a comfort in
of having what they call freedom
to choose to live in sin
____
but God has not loosed them from Him
and given them their leave
because of love’s patient biding
He chastens them to see
____
that grace always opens the way
for man to turn around
repentance is for those who yearn
to have God’s love abound
____
safe and secure the tie that binds
love’s mending ways are true
broken spirits precious to God
can start a life all new
